The China version of the International Champions Cup continues after the Manchester Derby was cancelled due to bad weather conditions. Borussia Dortmund will play Guardiola’s Manchester City at Longgang Stadium in Shenzhen on Thursday.
Dortmund enjoyed their first China pre-season game which was against Manchester United. They brutalized the Red Devils in a 4-1 win at Shanghai Stadium last Friday,.
Castro put Dortmund in front in the 19th minute, later Aubameyang converted from the spot to make it 2-0 in the first half. Ousmane netted the third in the 57th minute, Mkhitaryan pulled one back for United. But that wasn’t enough as Castro scored his second goal of the day to make it 4-1.
Tuchel will be looking for a win from his team to make sure he stepped over the two Manchester clubs this summer.
Meanwhile Manchester City will enter the game from a 1-0 loss at the hands Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena last Wednesday. The only goal of the game came from Ozturk as Guardiola lost his debut game as City coach.
Guardiola will hope he wins this game to avoid successive defeats in his starting days as Citizens Manager.
