After City’s 4-1 thrashing against Liverpool, Al Hain-Cole expects Vincent Kompany’s continued absence and the return from injury of Sergio Aguero to ensure more goals in Turin.
Manchester City will be looking to bounce back from a 4-1 home thrashing by Liverpool when they travel to Turin to take on Juventus in Wednesday’s Champions League clash.
Having recorded a 2-1 away victory in the reverse fixture, the hosts are favorites to do the double over their opponents with another win in front of their own fans – leapfrogging them into first place in the process.
As impressive as Liverpool were in Saturday’s clash at the Etihad Stadium, it is fair to say that the Citizens contributed heavily to their own undoing with a mistake-ridden defensive performance.
Many have attributed this uncertainty at the back to the continued absence of Vincent Kompany, and the captain will once again be watching on from the sidelines at the Juventus Stadium.
With the likes of Mario Mandzukic, Alvaro Morata and the in-form Paulo Dybala to contend with, it is likely to be another long night for the City backline as they look to record just a second Champions League clean sheet in 20 fixtures.
However, a goal from Sergio Aguero on his return from injury at least provided one bright spot for Pellegrini at the weekend, who will feel confident that his side can cause the Bianconeri some problems of their own.
